Yesterday Allie was just a normal kid, but today she’s headed into outer space! With the help of her trusty talking dog Captain Chaos, and Rover the Dancing Robot from Mars, Allie's on a mission across the solar system to save Earth, and maybe learn some things about science along the way. But she'd better be home in time for dinner! Grab your space suit and get ready for an adventure that's out of this world! Book by Scott Elmegreen and music and lyrics by Drew Fornarola. Directed by Jeremy Dobrish. Only non-Equity performers should apply. All ethnicities encouraged to submit.

We will see only adult actors to play all roles.

SEEKING STRONG SINGERS FOR THE FOLLOWING ROLES:
ALLIE. Allie is an inquisitive 9 year old from Skokie Illinois. Part dreamer, part loner, she is singled out by an outerspace alien and sent on a mission by the US government to be the first citizen to make contact! On her trip she learns a great deal about science, the universe, and the power of friendship! Adult actress to play young. Mezzo to “E”, Singer who can both belt and mix.

CAPTAIN CHAOS: What better co-pilot into outer space than a nasa-trained, talking space dog? Although it seems a bit far-fetched to Allie at first, she soon learns that a dog can be an astronaut’s best friend! Captain Chaos helps Allie journey through the milky way with cool dance moves and way more bark than bite. Adult actor to play canine. Tenor or Bari-tenor.

THE PRESIDENT: The President of the United States is, needless to say, a very busy man. He is in shock when the US is contacted by an extra-terrestrial, and even more in shock when he finds out the alien would like to meet with a small girl from Illinois! He recognizes the importance of this moment for the country and vows to get Allie into outer space. The president is a bit bumbling and overwhelmed at times, but definitely sincere. Adult actor. Baritone--bonus points if you can beatbox.

ALLIE’s MOM/ROVER 2: Allie’s mom is both supportive and caring of Allie. She makes the decision to let Allie go into outer space, but reminds her to always keep her gaze on home. Allie’s mom doubles as Rover 2, a “female” space bot left behind on Pluto by Russian cosmonauts! Adult actress. Mezzo.

ALIEN/MRS. QUARK: The first alien to make contact with the US, is a bit mysterious, but seems friendly! She will only talk with Allie, and everyone is wondering what she wants! This track also doubles as Mrs. Quark, an elementary science teacher of Allie’s, who helps her to navigate the stars via satellite. Adult actress. Alto.

ROVER/SECRET SERVICE AGENT BOB: Rover is a forgotten and lost Russian Space Bot, left behind in outer space on a mission in the 1970’s. He is lonely, but Allie befriends him, and he soon joins her journey to Pluto! Rover is a disco dancer and ideally speaks with a Russian accent. This track doubles as Secret Service Agent Bob, who may look big and imposing, but he is kind and considerate at heart. Adult actor. Tenor, star disco singer. Dance training a plus.

(NEW) Agamenon Choruses.
Send resume and picture to Alexander Harrington at alecharrington@yahoo.com. Or hardcopy to: 160 Claremont Avenue, #2J, Attention: Alexander Harrington, New York, NY 10027

The Eleventh Hour Theatre Company is seeking male and female dancers and singers all ages for a workshop of the choruses from a new translation of the Greek tragedy Agamemnon. The workshop will consist of four weeks of rehearsals in February with performance for an invited audience on the evening of Sunday February 27th. There will be four 4-hour rehearsals a week, probably during the day, with a fifth rehearsal during the final week. There is a $100 stipend. As was the practice in ancient Greece, the choruses of the play are set to music and involve dance and other stylized movement. The translation by Alexander Harrington with music by Michael Sirotta was produced at La MaMa in 2009. It was difficult for the audience to understand the lyrics. This workshop is focused on addressing this problem: among other things, elaborate choreography will be assigned to people who are not singing. All chorus members must sing and move adequately. However, some performers will do the more demanding dancing and only have to sing adequately and others will do the more demanding singing and only have to dance adequately. All performers will have to act well enough to tell a story through song.

Seeking: male and female dancers and singers all ages.
