Kristine Linde, 20s. Psychologically perceptive, working-class widow; Nora’s close friend. She has an unusually strong sense of self for a woman of that era, yet fears being rejected by Krogstad. She feels lost because she has "no one to work for, no one to care for." Supporting. Dr. Rank, 20s to 40s. A cynically witty physician, suffering a slow death by disease. Frequents the Helmer household, presumably due to his friendship with Torvald, but really because he is in love with Nora. Decides to die alone in order to spare others ugliness. Supporting.

Anne-Marie, 40s to 60s. A woman who left her daughter in order to gain a secure position as a live-in maid, echoing Nora’s eventual decision to leave her family.
