Isle of Shoals Productions, Inc., an established, ongoing NYC-based 501(c)(3) not-for-profit theatre company, is still seeking a young actress/singer for “Lighthouse: A Romantic Musical Adventure” suggested by Henrik Ibsen’s “The Lady from the Sea,” transplanted to 19th century New England. Bryan Williams, writer-composer-music dir.; Lance Hewett, dir. Runs Oct. 29-Nov. 21 (15 performances, including Thu.-Sat. evenings and Sun. matinees) at the Shell Theater on West 43rd St. in NYC. Rehearsals for this role begin late September, primarily Wed., Thu. & Fri. evenings and Sunday afternoons and evenings.

Seeking: Little Leda, 7-10 years old, younger self of the heroine Leda, opens the play with a gentle lullaby and closes it with the verse of a song of hopeful release; appears in Leda’s memory in flashbacks at times of crisis, a lonely child, but self-reliant, cherishing the rag doll of a sailor, her imaginary friend, made for her by the mother she lost; also doubles in several scenes as a rascally shopboy who sings a song while wearing a sandwich board advertising the town’s production of “A Christmas Carol” in which she appears as Tiny Tim.

Davenport Theatrical Enterprises is casting for The Awesome 80s Prom. Writer/Director: Ken Davenport. AEA CABARET CONTRACT. Casting Director: Daryl Eisenberg, CSA. THE AWESOME 80s PROM is the hit Off-Broadway interactive experience in the style of Tony n' Tina's Wedding, set at Wanaget High's Senior Prom in 1989. Performs on Saturday nights. Performers have the opportunity to join AEA. Seeking exuberant performers who are skilled improvisational actor/comedians. Must have strong comedic instincts and the ability to 'work a room'. [DICKIE] The Drama Queen. Flamboyant, fabulous and bitter. Sings “Don't Rain on My Parade” like Barbra Streisand. Think Ducky in Pretty in Pink mixed with Jack from Will & Grace.

[BEEF] A Football player. Big and intimidating, but not too bright. Think Chris Farley.

[JOHNNY HUGHES] The DJ. Extremely charismatic host who can warm up a crowd. Runs dance contest, etc. Stand up comedians, karaoke hosts, etc. all encouraged to audition. Must have high energy and an infectious energy that can keep a party going.

[MR. SNELGROVE] The Principal. A fascist dictator. Think The Principal in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

[WHITLEY] The Head Cheerleader. Attractive, sexy, bitchy and vain. Think “Heathers”. Must cheer and dance. ALL DANCERS WITHOUT ACTING EXPERIENCE BUT FUN PERSONALITIES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT.

[THE HEATHERS] Cheerleader #1 and #2. Whitley's backup cheerleader. Must cheer/dance. ALL DANCERS WITHOUT ACTING EXPERIENCE BUT FUN PERSONALITIES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT.

[KERRIE] The Spaz. Petite. A sweet but hyper nerd. In love with Blake. Surprisingly cute, once she removes the glasses and headgear.

[MISSY] The Head of the Prom Committee. Perfect. Way too perky. Think Reese Witherspoon in Election.

[INGA] The Swedish Exchange Student. Tall and voluptuous. Speaks with heavy accent.

S. [LASCALZO] Drama Teacher. A leftover hippie who loves everyone. A little clueless.
