Learn Me My Need
Casting for Learn Me My Need, a new full-length play. Two full weekends of performances will occur in the last two weeks of June. Papa: Manny’s father, Latino male (or black who could pass for Latino), late 30s to 40s but must be able to convincingly play the father of a teen. Depressed, helpless. Also seeking an Assistant Director/Producer to work with our director/producer. Experience is not as important as motivation and reliability.

Andre: 19/20, tenor, alpha dog, Adonis, narcissist, jock. Henderson: 19/20, baritone, handsome, jock, mama’s boy. Johnny: late 30s-early 40s, Asian, baritone, business man, high energy. Hope: 60s, alto/belter, Midwestern, comedic character actress, madly in love with her husband Earl. Earl: 60s, baritone, Midwestern, comedic character actor, deeply in love with his wife Hope. The Architect: 30s-40s, baritone, an ambitious artist and slightly sinister addict with a dangerous obsession with beauty and youth. The Showgirl: 20-30, Old Vegas feminine beauty personified, singing experience not required. Maintenance Man: 20-30, baritone, scruffy, sense of peace, strong presence, blue collar, shape shifter. A cast of 8 strong singers is also needed. Actors of all races/ethnicities are encouraged to submit. Auditions will be held by appointment only.
